If you need to request payment before providing a service or delivering goods, you can issue an Invoice and send it to the client, for example, as a PDF, to receive the payment. Once the payment is received, you should then issue a Receipt for that Invoice.
However, instead of issuing both an Invoice and a Receipt, you can issue an Invoice-Receipt if the service is completed or the product is sold and the payment is received.
